Completed Colored Pencil Work

In my online absence, I was finishing up this precious little girl on the swing. She took over 40 hours to complete with many, many tries on getting her skin perfected. She is on Art Spectrum Colourfix Coated Pastel Blue Haze paper. Since this was my first try with using the Colourfix paper, I finally figured out how to work on the paper when I was finishing the painting. I probably won't use this paper anymore for portraits since I like a smoother finish. The image size is 11" x 14" and is awaiting transport to its new owner.

Happy coloring!

Ahhhh. Nice Valerie. This is just so beautiful. She is precious and you captured it so well.

Does the paper act like Pastelbord? I liked doing CP on that. Well, as much as I like doing CP. Heh, heh.

You are amazing. Lovely finish.

Hi Valerie,

This is beautiful! The blue Colorfix paper makes for a lovely background. You did a wonderful job on her skin tones. Her skin is vibrant and has such lovely warmth.

Colorfix is a whole different experience isn't it? I wasn't impressed my first time either but sanded surfaces have started to grow on me. I still love the love of c.p. on paper though!

Anyway, great job! Can't wait to see the next project.
