Here's a preview of what I'm working on now. I'm using Prismacolor French Grey and Sepia colored pencils on Stonehenge paper. The picture is of my grandparents wedding day in 1920. My grandpa was born in 1898 and lived to be 101 years of age.

Hi Valerie,
Wow, an ambitious project, I hope you are blessed with a good reference photo! Isn't it interesting how it wasn't common in those days to smile when your photo was taken - even on your wedding day?! I have a similar photo of my grandparents on their wedding day. Gosh, I really like the job you have done on his clothes. He is very dapper indeed.
Valerie, what a great idea for a portrait. Great lines and coloring. Nice work.
What a great portrait Valerie! I'm actually just now starting a mono-tone portrait also and I'm a bit nervous about it because it's so different than my normal things. You're doing great with yours! :)
